Karli had her 2 1/2 well check appointment on Friday.  Usually they do not go in but every year but considering the issues Karli has had they wanted to see her.  I saw the PA instead of the Primary Dr because I didn’t want to ‘hear’ anything from her. Karli still has her bopper and one day she’ll get rid of it completely…  She did really well at the Dr and this was a first for her.  She usually screams and cries the entire time!  She didn’t.  I was happy.  They weighed Karli and she was only 29.7 lbs naked.  She is only in the 60% for her age.  She didn’t really gain anything from her 2 yr appointment and the Dr wants to keep an eye on that!  Karli rarely drinks milk now.  Ms. Alondra gets her to drink some after she’s been playing because she is thirsty.  At home I try to even put chocolate in it.  Depends on the day if she drinks it or not.  So I have had to increase the yogurt and stuff to get more calcium in her.  She said have her eating alot of more fattening food and I looked at her and said she already is.  The girl eats like a pig sometimes!  Some people are shocked by the way she eats.  I wish I had her metabolism!  The Dr also said that at her 3 yr check up if she feels her speech isn’t where they want it, then she will have the school district evaluate her and go from there.  If they think she needs it, she can start preschool.  She is talking alot more now, but we still can’t understand everything so it’s hard and makes for a frustrated Karli and mommy!  Aunt Kat helped me get Karli’s room set up and Karli loves it.  Just a few more things and she’ll be set! 

 

Riley just finished TAKS last week for the 3rd grade.  He finished in time and did not have to stay late.  He thinks he did well.  I guess we have to wait a few weeks to get the results.  I’m quite curious how he did!  Riley and Jeremy got to go camping this weekend with Robbie & Joshua.  They had a blast.  They did some bike riding and lots of swimming.  Apparently Riley saw a snake in the water and he moved so fast they said he was like a fish.  I’d have had a panic attack if I’d gone and seen a snake, and to know Riley was jumping off the cliffs into the water is so scary.  But he had a blast.  Now he has pretty bad allergies along with a sunburn so he slept most of the day Sunday.  We have all been congested.
